Walters Fall is the music of Darrin Walters, a singer-songwriter from rural Ontario.
The songs come from lived experience—grief, addiction, regret, love, loss, survival, and the long fight to become something more than what life has handed you.
There was never a plan to make the music polished enough to hide behind.
The point was to tell the truth.
Walters Fall grew from that idea: that a song doesn't have to fix what hurts. Sometimes it just has to tell someone they're not the only one carrying it.

Walters Fall lives somewhere between alternative folk, Americana, and stripped-down rock.
The sound is intentionally human—acoustic textures, worn edges, heavy words, and performances that leave room for the cracks to show.
These aren't songs written from a distance.
They're songs written from inside the storm.
RECOGNITION
RECOGNITION
The music has found recognition beyond the places where it began.
Walters Fall has received multiple ISSA Award nominations and finalist positions, including four ISSA finalist positions in 2025 and four more in 2026.
In 2026, Walters Fall was also nominated for a Josie Music Award for EP of the Year — Americana/Folk for This Is Walters Fall: The War, the Wound, and the Warmth.
The recognition matters, but it isn't the reason the songs exist.

Music was the rope I climbed out with.
Walters Fall was never created simply to release songs. It came from the belief that music can give shape to things people don't know how to say.
The songs live in the spaces between falling apart and finding a way forward—where grief meets hope, where addiction meets recovery, where regret meets redemption, and where being broken doesn't have to mean being finished.
If someone hears a Walters Fall song and realizes they're not alone, then the song has done what it was supposed to do.
That's why I keep writing.

I don't write to make the ugly things beautiful.
I write them because they're real.
The grief. The addiction. The regret. The love. The mistakes. The moments when you don't know if you're going to make it through.
I'd rather leave the cracks showing than polish them away.

Putting instruments in the hands of kids who need them.

Every instrument deserves to be played.
Play It Forward helps get donated musical instruments into the hands of kids who might not otherwise have the opportunity to own one.
A guitar. A keyboard. A drum kit. A violin. Anything that makes music.
The goal is simple: take instruments that are sitting unused and give them a new life with a young musician.
Because sometimes an instrument isn't just an instrument.
It's a voice.
It's an escape.
It's a place to belong.
Give an instrument. Give a kid a chance to play it forward.
