Privacy policy for Walnut Blocks (Android app)
Last updated: 28 October 2026
Summary: this app does not collect, send or share any personal data.
The app has no internet permission. It asks for vibration, for the optional haptic tick when a piece lands; vibration drives the phone's motor and reads nothing. The Google Play version also has the Google Play billing permission, which only lets the app ask the Play Store app for the optional tip jar (see below). The app never connects to a server, and it contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting services.
Everything happens on your device.
The app stores the game in progress, your finished games (a score and a date for each), and your settings on your device only, so they are there the next time you open it. This data never leaves your device through the app. If you have enabled Android's device backup, Android may include this small amount of data in your own backup, under your Google account and Android's backup settings.
The About screen has an optional tip jar with three one-time "coffees" in the Google Play version. If you choose one, the payment is handled entirely by Google Play under Google's own terms and privacy policy; the app receives only an on-device confirmation that it went through and sends nothing anywhere. A tip unlocks nothing, and the app does not remember who tipped.
The About screen contains links to the Walnut Blocks web page and to the source code. Tapping one opens that page in your browser, outside the app; the page's own privacy policy applies there.
You can delete all app data at any time in Android Settings > Apps > Walnut Blocks > Storage > Clear storage, or by uninstalling the app.
The app is not designed for children under 13 and does not knowingly process any data about anyone.
