Upcoming: Discussed the Jungian concept of confronting aspects of who we are that we know we can improve. Took the BIG FIVE personality quiz to form a situational awareness that we could then discuss in relation to the Big Five Model for Personality Traits.
Why understand our personality? "It is crucially important to understand yourself and other people so that you can better cope with the diversity of opinion and viewpoint that makes up the personal, familial and social world."

9/27, 9/28 Day 16: Looked at characture structures in past few lessons. Now, we take a look at the function of self: generative drive and defense mechanisms. Additionally, Freud vs Jung and the Iceberg of Personality/Self/Consciousness.

9/22, 9/25 Day 15: Literary Character Analysis Part II: Jungian Archetypes.
9/20, 9/21 Day 14: Literary Character Analysis; Psychology of Pinocchio. Critical Thinking: Identity that ignores social strategies and includes roles dictated by feelings and ego, rather than by social and group progression, can be entirely detrimental.
