True narrative shift means organizing in a way that listens to people, understands their identities, and helps them shape the "common sense" of what is happening in society. It is about helping our neighbors understand the root causes of their struggles, identify the larger systemic villains, and imagine an alternate, safer, healthier future.
WHERE WE STAND
Our fight for democracy directly impacts our health and safety in our Wallingford neighborhood. Costs for housing, food, and gasoline are rising rapidly because of this lawless, incompetent, and corrupt Trump regime. Many federal workers, scientists, healthcare workers and veterans have lost jobs, which were devoted to protecting our health and our environment. The essential transition to clean energy and cleaner transportation has been sharply curtailed. Our federal debt is skyrocketing, putting our economic future at risk as the Trump regime cuts taxes on the super-rich and giant corporations.
