Remembering Our History:
Haney Feed and Farm Supply: Owned and operated by Doyle Sitton and his loving wife Eunice - Our Oldest Active Member!
and Eunice was a founding member of the Waller Chapter Order of the Eastern Stars #1047
Haney was a family-owned and operated feed and agricultural supply store located in Waller, Texas. Established in 1938 as Haney Brothers, the business grew into a trusted local resource for livestock feed, pet supplies, fertilizers, and farm and ranch products, serving Waller County and surrounding areas for more than 80 years.
Originally founded by four Haney brothers as a general store, the operation evolved over time into a specialized feed and farm supply business. By the mid-20th century, it had become a Purina dealer and expanded to include bulk feed operations, fertilizer services, and agricultural support for the local farming community. [haneyfeed.com]
Located at 2614 Washington Street, Haney Feed became a staple of the community, known for its wide range of products including livestock feed, horse and cattle supplies, pet food, garden supplies, fertilizer, and ranch equipment. Customers relied on the store not only for quality products, but also for knowledgeable service and small-town hospitality.
As a multi-generational business, it remained closely tied to the growth and agricultural heritage of Waller, supporting local farms, youth livestock projects, and rural lifestyles throughout the region.
After many decades of service, Haney Feed & Farm Supply closed permanently in April 2021, marking the end of an era for one of Waller’s long-standing agricultural institutions. Now " The Feed Store" a thriving local hangout. Step inside and you can see parts of the original structures still remaining as well as many photographs of Doyle and the Haney Feed Legacy.
