Theater Week Information

OCTOBER 13th - October 17th 2025

We are thrilled that your child will be joining us for Theater Week!  Keep this information in a safe place so you can refer back to it during the week of October 13th.

This year’s play is: Peter and The Princess

This year we are excited to welcome a new team, Better than Broadway Productions to direct our students!  On day one, everyone will receive a "script" of the songs they will be learning. We ask that you make sure your child has this with them each day. Each child will have an opportunity to audition for the roles.  But throughout the week, even our ensemble will have an chance to be assigned speaking lines!

Supervision: We will have volunteer parents at each rehearsal to check the children in and out, walk children to the bathroom, monitor the halls or call you if there is a need.  Your phone numbers are supplied to us on the permission slips.

Check In/Sign Out: Our parent volunteers will have alphabetical lists and will mark off each child as they enter the gym. The children are expected to sit until everyone is checked in.

Dismissal: Dismissal will be at the gym door nearest the parking lot. To avoid confusion, we ask that parents wait outside the building at dismissal. To ensure our students safety, the gym doors will remained locked until 5:30. We will do our best to dismiss as quickly as possible. No student will be released without a signature! Pick up is 5:30pm each day. PLEASE BE PROMPT!

***If you are carpooling, please send a note in for Theater Week chaperones to be given to the Main office. We CANNOT allow any child to go home with anyone else unless we have it in writing from the parents

Snack: Students will begin working immediately at 3:30 pm. After one hour the director will stop and allow the children to take a short snack break. Please pack a snack that is quick and easy for them to enjoy. Please make this a peanut free* snack

Parent volunteers will be present to help, but due to HIPAA regulations, they are not provided with a list of students with allergies. Also, a certified Epi Pen administrator will not be required to stay after school hours. *If your child has an anaphylactic food allergy and requires an Epi-pen, you will be required to attend all practices.

Cast Photo and Video: A cast photo will be taken on Friday Afternoon. Permission slips will serve as permission to photograph and record your child’s performance for a cast photo and video unless you indicate otherwise.  Both will be available for purchase.

Tickets: It is strongly recommended that all tickets be pre-ordered. All seating is assigned as in a Broadway theater. All seats are randomly assigned per family. Tickets purchased at different times will result in separate seating. All pre-ordered tickets will be handed out after Thursday's rehearsal.  You can pay via venmo or check. Tickets can be ordered here: https://forms.gle/AnzjyqbRfa8ywTS38

Costumes: A costume list will be provided after the first rehearsal. There is no need to purchase any items! Please use what you have at home. Costumes will be needed for Wednesday & Thursday after school and on Friday for the school performance & Friday evening performance.

On Friday Evening, October 17th, all actors are asked to arrive at Wall Intermediate School by 6:30pm.  Students should be dropped off outside the cafeteria. There is no rush to enter as all seats are assigned. Children will be supervised by CAPE volunteers. Once the play is over, ALL STUDENTS MUST BE SIGNED OUT BEFORE LEAVING THE BUILDING!  Students will be dismissed from the exterior cafeteria doors.

This is a very exciting week! Despite staying after school each day, children are responsible for their regular homework as no special arrangement will be asked for by the committee. We thank you for rearranging your schedule so that your child can do this. Learning a play in just five days is an incredible task, so your extra effort is definitely appreciated.

Enjoy the week and please contact us if you need anything!

Thank you,

Trish Parratt and Andrea Pica
