BAD WEATHER:
For bad weather days that dismiss immediately (think SNOW), we will run our regular routes starting with the YOUNGEST and ending with the OLDEST (accounting for siblings as needed). A regular 1 hour route may take 2+ hours. In order to keep our drivers concentration on the road and your kids safe PLEASE DO NOT CALL. We are alerted by the school. It will be our policy that we will get ALL children unless your driver receives a TEXT that you are arranging alternate transportation.
Cancellation of Monthly Contract:
Monthly Contract is really just an easy way for WNM to calculate payments and for YOU to remember the amount. Each 'monthly' payment is actually for 20 days. This takes the 180 school days and averages them over the 9 main months that the kids go to school.
If you cancel, your actual usage will be calculated and the amount paid will be prorated to ensure that no additional payments are needed to bring account to balance. It is also possible to have overpaid and a refund will need to be given.
Absences:
Absences will NOT be credited back on the monthly payment plan.
BE ON TIME: LATE RIDER FEE
In order to get the students to their schools on time we will provide an approximate pickup time to each family. There is a LOT of grace in the first week. Please have your student ready BEFORE that time. WE WILL WAIT UP TO 2 MINUTES FOR STUDENTS IN THE MORNING AND UP TO 5 MINUTES AFTER THE DISMISSAL BELL AFTER SCHOOL. The first time a student misses the carpool we will come back for no charge AFTER dropping off the other students. Repeated missing will incur a small fee ($7) each time. ANY TIME A CHILD IS NOT WHERE THEY SHOULD BE PARENTS WILL BE CONTACTED. Times may adjust as routines get settled or due to changes during the year.
If you are on the $7 pay per ride plan and do not alert the driver at least 30 minutes before arrival that your child will not be riding you will still be charged for the trip.
Liability
Should anything happen to your child while riding in WalkNoMore Carpool, you will not hold liable WalkNoMore Carpool or any of the drivers for unforeseen circumstances not limited to injuries, illness, accidental damages to personal property, tardiness, absences, etc. EVERY STUDENT WILL HAVE A SEAT BELT AND IS REQUIRED TO WEAR IT AT ALL TIMES.
BackUp Transportation
On rare occasions schedules and drivers may change to accommodate for unforeseen circumstances. Every effort will be made to stick to the plan, but if for some reason we cannot transport your child as agreed WNM will let you know as early as possible.
Rules for Riders:
If electronic devices is used, they must have headphones/earbud or be muted.
Riders are responsible for their belongings.
Respect is required.
Remove trash or a no food/drink policy will begin.
Seating may be assigned.
Kids ask some crazy things! We try to respond in wholesome ways that are age appropriate. Asking a trusted adult is usually better than Google... If ANYTHING is off limits, please let us know.
