The Carter Logging Company (commonly known just as the 'Carter Company') was founded in 1907 by Tim Carter. The company specialized in lumber, trucking, construction, and paper products. It initially began as a simple lumber and construction company in Ramsey in 1907, taking advantage of the abundance of forests in Walker Creek County.
In 1976, the Magnil Lumber Co. assets were sold to the Carter Company, significantly strengthening their status in Walker Creek County and Washington state as a whole.
In present day, Tim Carter III is the owner. They have an office on Main Street.
