Denton is one of the three towns that makes up Walker Creek County. It was founded in 1906 by Adam Walerton, who was attempting to create a safe haven that was free of American culture for his cult. This endeavor was more difficult than expected for Walerton. After a fire destroyed much of his settlement (which sparked the Ramsey Summoning Legend), Walerton agreed to sell the land to John Sanders in 1908. It became part of Walker Creek County. Ramsey's cult reputation caused it to remain a separate town, though it was gradually more accepted. It contains Ramsey Park.
It has a population of 801 as of a 2012 census.
