WalkWell is a volunteer group providing free, hosted guided walks in North East Lincolnshire, mainly in and around Grimsby, Cleethorpes, Laceby and Immingham.  All of the walks are easy going, lasting around a maximum of one hour.

WalkWell was originally setup around 2008 by NE Lincs Council to offer free local guided walks to the public.  After 3 years, WalkWell subsequently became independent of the Council and, with the help of Lottery funding, has become successful in its own right with upwards of 200 walkers regularly joining the walks. 

WalkWell currently host 8 free group-led walks that last between 30 – 60 minutes and end with an optional social gathering whereby drinks/refreshments are normally available, depending on the venue.  Each venue has plenty of free parking available locally if required and are based close to the local Stagecoach bus routes.  All of the walks are led by a volunteer and the walks are free to join.  A list of all of the walks currently available can be found under  Guided Walks in the menu above or just click here.

Some venues are larger than others so they can offer graded walks such as a faster paced walk (1hr 15mins), a medium paced walk (1hr) and a slower paced walk (30 to 40 mins) but all the walks still start and finish at that venue. Don’t worry though as each walk is carried out at the pace of the slowest walker so no-one is left behind.  All walks are subject to +/-10 mins depending on the actual route being taken on that day.

NB. Sorry but due to health & safety concerns, dogs are not allowed (except for assistance dogs).
