This was our sixth visit to Wales to walk the Wales Coast Path. We arrived slightly later than usual for a coast walk due to the weather forecasting rain early on. parking in Conwy at the long stay Morfa Bach Car Park near the castle. We made the short walk to the castle and decided to make our way to Llandudno Junction Railway Station, this was around 20 minutes walk from the castle, taking in the views of the castle and estuary along the way. We had a short 20 minute wait and then the train which was a very short journey arrived. Debarking at Llandudno we made our way to the coast path again after breakfast. Continuing from the pier and around the Great Orme, this was a spectacular walk, We have walked up a few times but never around, the rock formations were stunning and the sea views. Not wanting to look at the map we made our way up to the (Crocodiles Nose) and turned a corner, ohh there was a lot more Orme. The road went down a little before going back up. there were a few spectators at one part of the road, we arrived to see what the fuss was about and were greeted with views looking down on a shingle/rocky beach full of around 30 to 40 seals. This was another amazing WOW moment on the North Wales Coastal path. Ethan took some video footage as his zoom is much better than mine. We stood for a while in awe feeling privileged to witness such a site. Chatting to others who were equally amazed. We continued on and the toll road we were walking on (Its free on foot) steadily climbed until eventually we arrived at the 'Rest & Be Thankful' cafe, which we were thankful for. A quick coffee stop and rest and we continued passing a group flying model aircraft, which looked so small in the sky but when on the ground they were much larger than I imagined. The sea views had changed now, from looking back to where we had walked on previous trips to where we would be going in the future. large mountains overlooked the coast from the mainland and a view of Anglesea had emerged. the path made its way back down and we arrived at Llandudno South Shore Beach. At the far end we stopped for dinner. the second part of our walk followed the River Conwy passing through Deganwy, it was a completely different walk from the first part, promenades, sand dunes and a shingle beach to trample across, then finishing with a gravel path back to Conwy Bridge and across to the castle where we finished. A little tired but could have walked a little more we headed home, after a quick walk up the castle walls.

Standing at Llandudno Pier entrance face the pier and turn left (or leave the pier and turn right), following the pavement, passing The Grand Hotel on your right hand side. Follow the road as it passes the pier and leads away towards the Great Orme. Pass the toll booth ///couch.daring.surprises and follow the pavement all around The Great Orme. Eventually at the end of Marine Drive you pass the old toll gate (Now a B&B) ///superhero.saves.lashed Continue along the pavement a few Meters and take the path the slightly leaves the road (Beach side) ///paving.operation.vanished Walk along this path/promenade at the far end is a cafe, where we stopped for dinner. We went slightly wrong here walking along the beach and across the sand dunes. we soon met up with a gravel pathway which signposted the official trail, so not sure where we went wrong, but the path and signs looked quite new.. Soon back on track the gravel pathway with the River Conwy to our right and golf course to our left we emerged onto a promenade ///observes.quite.slung .This was Deganwy, Continue straight along the promenade until it leads onto Marine Crescent. ///trackers.brochure.olive Continue straight here, following the small road until you reach a railway level crossing, turn right onto the gravel path immediately before the crossing. ///joins.standing.stood Follow this path River on your right and railway tracks on your left, you pass a small signal box and then Deganwy railway Station. the path leads away from the River and leads out onto a small road Deganwy Quay. ///user.curve.depravity Cross the road and pick up the pathway again on the opposite side. The path soon runs alongside Deganwy Quay at ///donation.rivers.titles Keep to the path as it leaves at the far end and rejoins the River banks. Eventually the path takes a right bend and leaves the railway tracks and then a left bend, just before the left bend you have crossed over the A55 which runs under the River through a tunnel. Eventually this leads to the main Conwy bridge at the A457 ///advice.loft.preheated Turn right and cross the bridge heading towards the castle on the opposite side of the road, at the far end of the bridge you reach the last bridge half circle viewpoint place. ///harder.whizzing.apple This is where we finish this section and will continue from here in part 7.
