WEBBYS WALKS HOME | WALES COAST PATH HOME | PREVIOUS PART | NEXT PART

 START POINT: Machynlleth Railway Station

END POINT: Dyfi Furnace, Ysgubor-y-coed

DISTANCE:  7 Miles

TERRAIN: Gravel tracks, minor lanes, grassy fields

GRADIENT: Hilly, very steep hills in places

PUBLIC TRANSPORT: Bus

CAR PARKING: Machynlleth car parks, car park at Dyfi Furnace

We arrived at the small car park at Dyfi Furnace just off the A487 between Machynlleth and Borth and make the short walk back to the furnace and then along the A487 a short way to a bus stop to catch a bus back to Machynlleth. Debarking from the bus at the train station we immediately began back on the Wales Coast Path, making a short diversion to explore the town and grab a coffee. Then it was the walk towards Borth, leaving the coast path to head back down to the Dyfi Furnace and waterfall. We will begin from here in the next park and firstly make our way back up the hill to the Wales Coast Path.
