START POINT: Saint Peters Church, Sea View Terrace, Aberdovey

END POINT: Machynlleth Railway Station

DISTANCE:  12 Miles

TERRAIN: Gravel tracks, minor lanes, grassy fields

GRADIENT: Hilly, very steep hills in places

PUBLIC TRANSPORT: Train/bus

CAR PARKING: , Aberdovey Car Parks, Machynlleth car parks

We arrived at Machynlleth to catch the 8.52 train to Aberdovey. Parking at the railway station. Then after a coffee in Aberdovey we started the walk back. Starting with a steep uphill walk to the top of the hill behind the shops, then picking up the track known as Panoramic Walk on google maps, there were a few more upos and downs before we headed back down and around to the village of Pennal via a small hill and a holiday park. After Pennal it was back up, a more gradual uphill walk but it went on and on for approximetly 2 miles, through Pennal Forest, then we turn off the track for a shorter steeper climb before heading out the forest to dramatic views looking down to Machynlleth. A very steep decent, uncomfortable at times, heading back to Machynlleth
