This was the third time we walked a bit of coast path on a family holiday to Anglesey (Partly chosen so I could get some coast walking in) so it was a later than usual start and a short drive to begin our walk. Just my Son and I ventured out on this one, so it was slightly longer than the other two holiday coast walks we had done. We drove to Port Amlwch and found a quiet free car park on the actual coast path at the end of Pen Cei. Parking up we walked back to Port Amlwch,at the main area with the colourful buildings, pubs and car parks we turned right onto Machine Street, taking our second left onto a continuation of Machine Street. ///tamed.carefully.mountains We continued along taking the second right onto Lon Goch ///glance.learn.elbowed just after a slight bend in the road. As Lon Goch takes a bend to the left, opposite the Co-Op shop there was a bus shelter ///play.mistress.printouts This is where we waited for the 62 bus, after getting some supplies from the shop opposite. The first bus was delayed so we ended up waiting 30 extra minutes, seems to be a bit of a theme with this route. We caught the bus back to the bus stop just before the Pilot Boat Pub, I think the bus stop is called Dulas Bridge, but not sure as the driver did not know where I wanted to go. We arrived at our destination and made the short walk back up the road to where we had finished our coast path walk last time, making our way back towards the Dulas Estuary, as we edged closer to the sea we were prompted to turn left onto a quiet lane which we followed for a while. Eventually after a bit of Lane walking we were led out to a dirt track, crossed a stile and a field or two later we were back by the coast, which we stayed alongside for most of the walk back to Port Amlwch. There were a few hills to contend with on this stretch of the walk, no major climbs but quite a lot of hills, and it was a good job we took supplies as we did not see a single shop, cafe or pub along the way until we reached Port Amlwch. A beautiful sunny day and a really nice stretch of coast walk to complete. A great day spent once again on the coast path.
