This was the second time we walked a bit of coast path on a family holiday to Anglesey (Partly chosen so I could get some coast walking in) so it was a later than usual start and a short drive to begin our walk. The whole family was out in force today for this section once again, We made the drive to Moelfre where I had found a free car park on our last walk. ///cemented.massing.ignites We made the short walk back down to Moelfre Beach and to the Kinmel Arms where we had finished our last walk. The sun was out and it was quite early (Around 9am I think), the plan to get to the Pilot Boat Pub on the A5025 where the coast path heads inland to cross the Dulas Estuary. We would have dinner at the pub and then catch the bu from the nearby bus stop back to Moelfre. THAT WAS THE PLAN!!! A short walk along the coast path and we had the left the road around the beach and taken a tarmac pathway which followed the coast, it was not long before we headed to RNLI Seawatch, a small museum dedicated to the maritime history of Moelfre (MORE INFO) We had a quick look outside as the museum had not opened yet and then continued a short walk passing Moelfre RNLI lifeboat station. The path then headed along grassy cliff edges around waters that once was the scene of a large disaster with the sinking of the Royal Charter, a clipper that sank here in 1859 and over 400 lives were lost. There were a few memorials along this stretch of coast path or very close to the path, the ones I spotted I visit in the video. Then a large sandy beach came into view. which the coast path made its way down to, after passing a very humorous weather predicting stone. You may want to pause the video at this point to read the stones predicting chart. Once down onto Lligwy Beach there was a small cafe and a toilet block across the car park. We had a little rest here and a pasty. Once we were done we continued along the coast path passing around some dunes and then heading up a little to get our last views of the beach before continuing along the coastline. We passed some sort of watch tower remains (Not sure what this was) and then down onto a smaller beach which we explored before continuing up again slightly. The path soon veered away from the coast (I nearly did not spot the sign and continued the wrong way) but we had found a bench and family wanted 5 minutes. Then I spotted we needed to go a different way. Through some fields for a while heading away from the coast to cross the Dulas Estuary (which we will see more of in the next video) and eventually the pub was in sight in the distance. A welcome sight indeed. It looked pretty busy on arrival, it was 12.20pm and it should have opened at 12.00, we waited a short while with other potential customers but it did not seem to open, so along with others we headed away. We turned right to the bus stop at the road rather than heading left, for the simple reason right was downhill. We had about a 20 minute wait for the bus which arrived and gave us a ride back to Moelfre. Picking up the car we headed back to Benllech to find a dinner spot, settling at the Breeze Hill pub on the A5025 Bangor Road. Nice dinner and we had the afternoon to do more touristy things.

Starting at (The Kinmel Arms) Facing the road from the pub, you need to turn left ///mulls.tissue.take Following the road next to the beach so the beach is on your right hand side. The road goes uphill and as it makes a sharp left hand turn at the top of the small hill, you need to turn right onto a pathway just before the houses. ///gear.sprouted.freezers Follow the path as it bends left and follows the coastline. You pass what looks like an old boat launching station and then pass the RNLI Moelfre Seawatch Centre (On your left), ///spray.refreshed.wimp Continue straight on the path closes the sea. Continue straight ahead once you pass the RNLI Moelfre Lifeboat Station a short way after Seawatch. ///registers.dishes.tearfully Continue along this tarmac pathway which turns into a dirt/grassy pathway, as you pass the house the path bears left and heads onto a small rocky beach, at the far end you leave and then turn right onto the narrow path through the ferns ///century.streaking.simulations Making your way around the small headland there is a very short narrow bit where you climb down a small ledge, ///starlight.tour.bypasses This bit may not be suitable for all, and can be avoided by heading straight after the small rocky beach instead of the immediate right turn. Continue along the small dirt track closest to the sea ///spoil.simulator.chambers ... ///tweeted.observes.quaking ... Turning right near ///also.expensive.assures just as the driveway looks more like a narrow lane. This path runs onto a field, bear straight and walk the edge of the field passing through a gate and turning left at the far end of the field. ///gullible.shaves.bongo There are now views of a beach, continue along the path using the steps at ///rotations.scoots.eyeliner and following the dirt path around, where it looks like you can make your way down onto the beach near ///exactly.sniff.reader Don't, continue along the dirt path which runs up and alongside the beach to your right. This path eventually leads out to the cafe and car park for Lligwy Beach. ///neatly.distilled.pops A nice little rest stop. To continue along the coast path bear straight here and walk across the car park looking for the exit at the far end (Signposted) ///pothole.shiny.clapper There are also toilets at the far end of the car park to your left. Head straight off the car park so you are at the back of the dunes that are forming. ///robes.beads.vowing and follow the sandy path through the trees heading slightly away from the beach. The path leads to a small wooden bridge to cross. ///pranced.rumbles.quite, cross the bridge and continue on the sandy path. This leads up onto another car park. ///relief.sang.spin Bear straight and cross the car park to the far end taking the sandy path that does not lead onto the beach. ///grandest.overlooks.nowadays This leads up, and then down slightly to another small wooden bridge. ///cabinets.stormed.ideals ,The path is narrow. Stick to this path, eventually passing a brick watchtower of some sort. ///ruling.twee.copiers Continue past the tower following the path along the coastline. It takes a sharp left at ///disco.kitchens.restrict Continue around and down some steps soon which lead onto a small beach. Porth y Môr. Continue a few Meters along the beach, leaving at the small sandy path near ///cosmic.shine.handyman which heads slightly up and runs alongside the far end of the beach. The path takes a sharp left again ///blocking.stay.animates Continue around and eventually the path leads out onto a camping field. ///elections.plausible.solved Bear straight ahead and then head through the large gap ///bottled.meals.collapsed Follow this and bear left at the bend ///bead.exhaling.cheeks passing a few more camping spots. At the far end turn right and pass down the steps of this path. ///brand.cold.rewriting Continue around until you see a bench and a gate, do not pass through the gate, you want the path to the left just before the bench that leads away from the sea. ///shaky.golden.dockers Follow this tree lined path, which bends around and eventually leads out onto a narrow single track driveway/lane. Turn right here. Follow this up to a junction, ///shaky.golden.dockers Turn right then immediately left through a gate onto a field. Bear straight up the small hill heading for a gap in the trees ahead to the right of the static home. Continue straight onto the next field heading towards the left side of the field, continue up the left side turning left at the far end taking the path leading off the field, ///mooring.undertook.blurred the path soon turns right. ///twigs.format.sway Follow the path which leads onto another field, bear straight, slightly left towards the gap in the trees onto the next field. ///cleanser.frizz.tile Continue straight passing a small pond on your left hand side, bear a slight left heading for a gap at the far end of the field ///mysteries.vocals.hurtles which leads to a gate and a pathway between the fields, ///dolphins.headboard.entry continue along this path. The path leads you out at the far end onto another field. bear straight here. ///sulk.gazed.rucksack Keeping to the right side of the field, you should soon see the pub in front of you at the far end of this field. Head towards passing through a gate which leads onto the pub grounds, bear straight through the gate passing the pub on your left hand side and make your way to the A5025 at the pubs entrance. ///pylon.lyrics.caressing This is where this section of the walk ends. If you wish to catch the bus back to Moelfre or Benllech, I recommend walking right at the road (as its downhill) you will find the bus stop on the bridge crossing the small stream that leads out onto Dulas Estuary. No need to cross the road, stay on the pub side for busses back to Moelfre and Benllech.
