At WAKE & LAKE Cottage you are directly on Clam Lake with 100 ft of private shoreline and minutes to the crystal clear beautiful Torch Lake! Clam Lake is warm, calm and great for fishing, skiing, tubing, swimming, wakeboarding, etc.
Travel the entire Chain of Lakes by boat (Lake Bellaire, Grass River, Clam Lake, Torch Lake, Lake Skegemog & Elk Lake) and keep your boat right on our dock for your stay. The boat slip can easily accommodate a very large boat. Don't have a boat? Don't worry - You can rent various water toys from 3 locations on Clam Lake (boats, jet skis, paddleboards, kayaks, etc.)! Various nearby boat launches are available (Butch's and Public Clam Lake launch), the nearest being 1.5 miles away. The house is also conveniently located across from Dewitt Marine where you can pull your boat up to fill up on gas and purchase any cooler needs!
Summer Activities
Walk or boat to Dockside in minutes for drinks, lunch or dinner right on Torch Lake.
Enjoy drinks & food at the famous Shorts Brewery in less than a 10 minute drive.
Check out Torch Lake Cellars, 6 minutes away, that offers wine/cider tastings & road runner tours (food/dinner, tasting rooms and U-pick orchards tours available- they will even pick you up!).
Walking trails of the Grass River Natural Area are accessible by boat or car.
Glacial Hills provides 31.5 miles of the Midwest's finest mountain biking, hiking and winter sports trail.
Grass River area has nature trails, walks and kayaking launches
Shanty Creek & Schuss Mountain is 15 minutes away where there is tons to do all year round - ski, snowmobile, snowshoe, tube, golf, foot golf, etc.
Several public beaches are near the cottage (Torch Lake, Lake Bellaire, Lake Michigan, Lake Charlevoix)
