I fish a heavily pressured lake, that doesn't see too many big baits but lots of standard stuff. Despite the main forage being trout, I caught a number of fish last year in a rat. Im looking to get a trout wake to further pinpoint a bait. Im thinking ill either go with the Mattlures Meathead or MS slammer 9''. Does anyone have an opinion on 2pc vs 3pc for night fishing and highly pressured fish.

Three piece for numbers two piece for lunkers. Just a heads up, there can be a learning curve with these baits. I almost gave up on the slammer and didnt get bit for six months. Gotta be ready to fish for one bite as being a good day.

That's a pretty interesting theory now I'd like to see the same bait in both a 2&3 pc from the underside like a bass eye pov so to speak & see how different they are ..side not always 2pc fr me but my sherpa 3 pc looks sickk has zero rate of stall on the slowest creep

As far as slammers go the three piece baits have been more of numbers baits. The 9 inch two piece tends to be more of a lunker hunter with fewer numbers. There is def more fluid action with the three piece.

When fishing in open water I chose the 2 piece as it does throw tight tac and ticks. Also that soft tail usally give the bait a cool swirl from behind. I think that's what really gets the fish to going. haha jk but it calls the fish from further out (I want to believe)

When fishing covers, grass lines, rock walls, docks, shallows, basically out of the water structures, I chose the 3 piece. As I can creep it slower with a more fluid swim and twitch the bait in areas and/or tight spots.

The purpose of this Rest is to acquire 48 minutes of rest, but, contrary to our association of rest with respite, this rest was supposed to be active. We should take in the ephemera around us (though there were projections involved in the piece, we were meant to have our eyes closed) while staying still. Active reflection and associations should comprise our meditative state. If there were moments during the piece that disturbed us, we should return to the breathing exercise to find calm.

Wake is paired with Unmoored, a mixed reality work presenting a digital vision of a future Times Square after many years of sea level rise. Chin takes on the 19th century origins of celebrity and marketing, our changing relationship with nature, and the 21st century ability to project an audience deep into the future through technology. In addition to UNCA students, faculty and staff, an incredible group of artists and fabricators lent their talents to the realization of Wake. We are incredibly grateful for their work and for the time they shared with our team and our students. Several of the lead artists and fabricators are highlighted below.

Justin Turcotte supported all fabrication efforts, including the intricate I-Beam base for the ship. He worked with UNCA faculty Jordan Krutsch to fabricate the rib structures. His expertise in forming and welding steel in addition to moving it around a jobsite safely was instrumental in the fabrication and installation.

Charles Tucker brought an incredible crew of folks with him from Ohio in the final weeks ahead of the installation. He and his crew jumped in and took charge of the rib carving and handrail fabrication. Their work was critical for getting the piece finished in time.

Background: Worldwide by Howard Hersh is a mixed media on canvas piece that serves as a reminder of how Wake Downtown embodies the connection between the University and the greater Winston-Salem area. Hersh draws his creative inspiration from his philosophy on connectedness! He believes that all things are connected and inter-related, and he uses the beauty of his works to pull the viewer in and communicate his philosophy.

Sign painting artists Norma Jeanne Maloney, in cowboy hat, and Willow Anderson, from Red Rider Studios, work on one of the original doors in the old Reynolds tobacco factory in downtown Winston-Salem, which was saved to decorate the new Wake Downtown classroom building, on Wednesday, January 25, 2017.

These Fire Doors were here long before us, and serve as a great reminder of the historic significance of our building. Re-purposed as public art, these doors can be found on each floor throughout our building right outside our stairwells.

Artist Joy Rushfelt had a prolific professional career as a commissioned fiber artist from the 1960s through the 1980s. She was the president of the Weavers Guild of greater Kansas City in 1968. Rushfelt created works for numerous corporate, professional, and governmental offices and buildings and for private residences and collections nationwide. Little is known about this artist who passed away in 2005. Should you have information you wish to share, please contact the Office of University Art collections.

Background: START.dt is a collaborative programming extension for the WFU student gallery and Wake Downtown. This initiative will periodically present work created by WFU students in available spaces at Wake Downtown, fostering cross-disciplinary interactions where creative and investigatory impulses overlap. Students interested in participating in START.dt should contact Maya Whitaker, START Gallery Manager, at startgal@wfu.edu.

Hypnopdia is the process by which humans learn while sleeping. In this exhibition of drawings, intaglio prints, and sculpture for START.dt, Robert Link aestheticizes and problematizes the logic of scientific systems and moralizing mythologies alike.

A team to start taking notice of more has been Wake Forest, who have now won eight games in a row and sit at 10-3 overall. In the last six games during that eight-game win streak, the Demon Deacons were able to get junior big man Efton Reid III on the floor, and one could say that he has been a missing piece for this team. Why' Though it is still early, just look at the early difference he has made with him on the court, as he has been averaging 24.2mpg, 9.0ppg, 9.0rpg, and 1.5 bpg.

The flow around the three-dimensional blunt geometry presented in the work of Ahmed, Ramm & Faitin (Tech. Rep., 1984) is investigated experimentally at $\mathit{Re}= {U}_{0} H/ \nu = 9. 2\times 1{0}^{4} $ (where ${U}_{0} $ is free-stream velocity, $H$ the height of the body and $\nu $ viscosity). The very large recirculation on the base responsible for the dominant part of the drag is characterized. The analyses of the coherent dynamics of the wake reveal the presence of two very distinctive time scales. At long time scales ${T}_{l} \sim 1{0}^{3} H/ {U}_{0} $, the recirculation region shifts between two preferred reflectional-symmetry-breaking positions leading to a statistically symmetric wake; the sequence of these asymmetric states is random. This bi-stable behaviour is independent of the Reynolds number but occurs only above a critical value of ground clearance. At short time scales ${T}_{s} \sim 5H/ {U}_{0} $, the wake presents weak coherent oscillations in the vertical and lateral directions. They are respectively associated with the interaction of the top/bottom and lateral shear layers; when normalized by the height and width of the body, the Strouhal numbers are close to 0.17. These results suggest an alternate shedding associated with the vertical oscillation and a one-sided vortex shedding in the lateral direction with an orientation linked to the current asymmetric position. Finally, the impact of these coherent wake motions on the base pressure is discussed to motivate further drag reduction strategies.
