THEME: MALAYSIA MADANI
In line with Teras Perpaduan Malaysia: Identiti nasional, pemahaman budaya, adat resam, bahasa, and nilai murni are key strategies for the journey of unity. Therefore, UiTM Selangor Branch invites you to capture photos to support the integration of Malaysian Madani society and strengthen national identity by participating in the Faces of Malaysian Unity Photography Competition 2024.
INITIATIVE
This competition and exhibition is an initiative by the Kementerian Perpaduan Negara in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi MARA.
UiTM Cawangan Selangor Introduction
Universiti branch was MARA Selangor branch was established as a result of the transformation of UiTM which created the Governance Model 1 UiTM MultiSistem with its main focus as a university intensive in Research, Innovation, Commercialization and Community Engagement. UiTM Selangor Branch was officially established on 1 November 2015 with the appointment of the first Rector, YBhg. Professor Dr. Hajj Zaini Abdullah.

Photography is a medium of communication within the visual arts that encompasses values and principles of aesthetic art. It has a significant impact on artistic perspectives, as well as social, cultural, and historical content. Photographic images are often regarded as witnesses to historical events and life at specific moments, providing an unbiased perspective.
Photography is an important approach to capturing contemporary events and can have a profound emotional and social impact on society. It serves as a versatile platform for conveying information and is closely linked to visions, memories, culture, and nationhood. Therefore, it plays a crucial role in supporting the objectives of unity, integration, and strengthening national identity in alignment with the concept of Malaysia Madani, which is central to the National Unity Department.
ASPIRATION
Photographing the faces of Malaysia from various social and ethnic backgrounds to celebrate its unique and civil cultural diversity.
Showcasing the diverse cultural heritage that exists in Malaysia based on the concept of Malaysiarana.
Visualizing unity and uniqueness within the diversity of communities (Madani concept), and demonstrating that Malaysia is a united country despite its multiethnic makeup (Malaysiarana).
Developing a visual database by creating a collection of photos that reflect the spirit and uniqueness of the nation.
