Similar to the Menehune, who supported their village in ancient times, classroom grants offer small but meaningful contributions that aid teachers in improving the education of our students.

Request will be reviewed by the Grant Committee
Communication regarding the decision will be sent via email
If approved, receipts must be submitted for reimbursements
Guidelines
All grant recipients must be current members of the Waimea High School PTSA
Each grant request is limited to $500
Faculty members may receive one grant per school year
Two faculty members may submit a grant request for a project needing more than $500
Grants are offered until funds are depleted for the budgeted school year
Grants will be made in the form of reimbursements.
Applications will be reviewed by the Grant Committee and Waimea High School PTSA Board members who will consider the following:
Alignment with Waimea High School Academic Plan
Amount of students the grant will benefit
Benefit to students beyond the school year
You may be asked to provide additional information to support your request
All grant funds must be used in the current school year. Apply early so the current students benefit from our current budget!
Note: We are all stewards of our PTSA dollars! PLEASE make sure you have researched the best price for your request. Submit documentation of costs and be as specific as possible.
Grants do not cover parties, refreshments, basic school supplies, or travel
Grants should not be used for materials which can be purchased with other school funding
