π Menehune Classroom Grant
Just like the legendary Menehune who supported their village in ancient times, our classroom grants offer small but meaningful contributions that help teachers elevate our students' education.
π Evaluation Criteria
As stewards of our community's donations, we require documented cost research to ensure the best possible pricing. The Grant Committee reviews applications based on:
Alignment with the Waimea High School Academic Plan.
The total number of students who will directly benefit.
Long-term educational value beyond the current school year.
π How to Apply
π Submit: Complete and send in the digital Grant Application Form. Be sure to attach specific pricing documentation.
π₯ Review: The Grant Committee and PTSA Board will review your files and may request follow-up details.
π§ Decision: You will receive an official approval or notification decision via email.
π§Ύ Payout: Once approved, buy your items and submit all physical receipts to receive your reimbursement check.

π Grant Guidelines
Please review these criteria carefully before submitting your application:
Membership Requirement: All grant recipients must be current members of the Waimea High School PTSA.
Funding Limit: Individual grant requests are limited to $500 per faculty member each school year.
Collaborative Projects: Two faculty members may submit a joint request for a single project needing more than $500.
Reimbursement Model: Grants are issued as reimbursements after receipts are provided.
Use It or Lose It: Funds must be fully used within the current school yearβapply early so our current budget benefits current students!
Availability: Grants are awarded on a rolling basis until our budgeted funds are depleted for the year.
β What Is Not Covered:
Parties, refreshments, basic school supplies, or travel expenses.
Materials that can be covered by standard school funding sources.
