Twilight on the Roads  

In 2016, I submitted a written thesis on the Wagner Drives to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago as part of my art history master's degree program. The thesis is called Twilight on the Roads. The full text is accessible on the Internet Archive (below).  This thesis is the first extended critical scrutiny of the artwork. It is, however, highly indebted to the anecdotal accounts of various early Wagner Drive passengers, which first shed light on the intriguing practice. I designed the exhibition Stunt Road, which I discuss in the thesis, to showcase multimedia artifacts from my research and reperformance efforts.
