A group of Drexel students working to create a game in 10 weeks for Junior Workshop.
Development Meetings:
Our development meetings take place on Zoom every Wednesday and Friday at 2:30 PM EST. We discuss the work that we want to complete for the week and do our best to ensure that everyone is on the same page. These provide a great opportunity for questions, feedback, and overall collaboration.
On top of this, we have more informal lab sessions throughout the week that take place VIA discord, where members hop in a voice call to talk through development or brainstorm beyond our meetings.
Software:
Game development is done on Unity and 3D asset creation is primarily done in Maya. If you are more comfortable with another tool for 3d asset creation, that should also not be an issue as long as the exported files are .obj or .fbx.
Version Control:
We utilize GitLab for our version control and check-in with one another VIA discord before pushing commits on scenes we know other team members may be working on.
DiefenBuck Contract:
Bucks are allocated based on the contributions and efforts of each team member. Completing designated tasks for the week or doing outstanding, meaningful work entitles you to more DiefenBucks.
The allocation of DiefenBucks is a collaborative effort within the team that we will discuss during our first meeting of the following week. We encourage open discussions to distribute Bucks among team members appropriately.
If you believe you or someone else deserves more Bucks for outstanding work, you can voice your opinion during this meeting.
