We want to welcome everybody, to the Western Area FM Amateur Repeater (WAFAR) club. We have our 2 meter repeater site located in Melrose Park,
Our net meets every Wednesday evening approximately 8 PM (0200z/0100z)
on the WAFAR 2 meter repeater
WB9AET
on 146.670 MHz, with a PL tone of 107.2Hz and a (-600) offset.
Also, We hold the EMCOMM net on 147.360 +600 136.5 AND 443.875 +5 114.8 EVERY Wednesday night at 7:30 pm.
If you would like to get involved in emergency radio services. We will also rebroadcast Amature Radio Newsline, kick back, and enjoy the information.

This net meets to provide emergency net practice, pass WAFAR club traffic, and provide a venue for check-ins, with swap-and-shop items.
(This just in) WAFAR has renewed its Affiliation with ARRL
and WOW
WAFAR started with ARRL back in 1975
And YES this is the OLD out going repeater system. NOW replaced with a NEWER BETTER system.
The WAFAR club meets at P.J. Klems The First Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm. PJ Klems is located at 8000 West Ogden Avenue in Lyons, IL.
We invite all amateurs to join us at PJ’s for ham talk, good food, and fellowship.
