Since 2007, W3 Giving Circle (formerly Women Who Wine) has raised over $100,000 for over 75 local-area nonprofit organizations. Our goal is to gather philanthropic-minded women to join in our collective commitment to our community by making sustaining contributions as well as giving our most precious commodity - our time - to local nonprofits and each other. Our circle amplifies the voices and missions of the nonprofits in the Gallatin Valley. We also build community with each other to support our own growth and make connections both within and ouside of our circle. Our giving circle welcomes all women including cis and trans women.
Our circle is 100% volunteer run, so all contributions are distributed to the local nonprofits.
A Little Bit of History
Women Who Wine, now W3, was the first official Giving Circle organized under the umbrella of the One Valley Community Foundation. Our founder had the deep desire to build community around philanthropic women in the Bozeman area. She started our giving circle with the gathering medium of wine but the express purpose to make our community better, 'one grape at a time.' Our circle has expanded and contracted continuously throughout the years but one thing has remained constant, the collective desire to support local non-profits and help keep the Gallatin Valley vibrant.
Powered By One Valley Community Foundation
One Valley supports W3 by vetting our benefiting nonprofits (per our charter, our benefiting nonprofits cannot be religious or political in nature, and must be 501(c)3 organizations); by assisting hosts in selecting a benefiting nonprofit that fits their interests; by collecting our contributions; and by distributing tax deduction receipts. Though it sounds like a transactional relationship, One Valley integral to the work we do!
