W2GIS 2024

21st International Symposium on  Web and Wireless Geographical Information Systems

June, 17-18, 2024, Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland

Topics

Recent developments in Wireless Internet technologies have generated an increasing interest in the diffusion and processing of large volumes of geo-spatial data. Spatially-enabled mobile devices also offer new ways of accessing and analyzing this geo-referenced information. Consequently, new challenges and opportunities have appeared in the GIS domain for researchers and practitioners. This symposium provides an up-to-date review of advances in both practical and theoretical development of Web and Wireless Geographical Information Systems (W2GIS). This year, we aim to prioritize the exploration of recent developments that foster user-generated content, particularly in the domains of citizen science and Volunteered Geographic Information (VGI) projects.
