von Zastrow Lab
Welcome to the von Zastrow lab!
Our group is broadly interested in the cellular organization and regulation of receptor-mediated signal transduction. We focus on signaling initiated through G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), and on the dynamic interplay between receptor trafficking and signaling mechanisms. We are particularly interested in how signaling and trafficking interface in morphologically complex cells such as neurons, where GPCRs are key mediators of physiological neuromodulation and are important targets for both clinically useful and illicit drugs. We aspire to open science, and believe that good science and good community go together.
We value people of all backgrounds and strive to be a lab in which every member can thrive, both personally and scientifically. Thanks for your interest!
