I am looking for motivated students interested in research in optimization and variational analysis. If you are applying to graduate school and would like to pursue research under my supervision, please submit your application to our graduate program through the link. Undergraduate students at the University of North Dakota (UND) who wish to work with me on a research project or under my supervision for their thesis are also welcome to contact me directly by email.
Our graduate program including master's degree in mathematics or statistics offers financial support to graduate students, primarily through graduate teaching assistantships. Most students receive funding for the entire duration of their program (typically two academic years). This support includes a stipend of approximately $18,000 for nine months during the academic year, along with a tuition waiver for all courses in the student's program of study. International students are required to have an IELTS score of 6.5 or an equivalent qualification.
Established in 1883, UND is the oldest research university in North Dakota. Founded with a strong liberal arts foundation, it is the state’s flagship university and is classified by the Carnegie Foundation as an R1 institution. The M.S. program at UND prepares you to pursue doctoral work or step directly into high-demand careers in teaching, industry, the public sector and beyond.
