I am Thanh Phat Vo (Võ Thành Phát in Vietnamese), an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of North Dakota.
I earned my doctoral degree in Mathematics from Wayne State University in 2024 and my master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from the same university in 2021. Prior to that, I completed my bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Teacher Education at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, Vietnam, and then worked as a lecturer there for one year.
My research interests primarily focus on nonsmooth optimization, variational analysis, and their numerical applications. For further details about my research, you can visit my dedicated page.
Outside of academia, I consider myself easy-going. In my leisure time, I enjoy activities such as swimming and spending time with family and friends.
