GUIDELINES FOR PREPARATION OF MANUSCRIPTS
Articles submitted to VTCSCE Internaltional Multidiciplenary Journal undergo a review process – editor, reviewer, and the editor’s final decision. Authors can speed up the process by submitting their work in accordance with the following guidelines:
FORMAT
Prepare your manuscript in A4 size with a 1-inch margin on all four sides.
The manuscript should be typed using the ‘Times New Roman’ font, 12 points, and in 1.5 lines as line space.
The title of the manuscript should not exceed 12 words.
The maximum length of the article should be 2000 words (excluding the abstract, figures, tables, references, and appendices, if any) and the abstract should be in about 100 words with 3-5 keywords.
A full-length research paper should not exceed 5000 words and the abstract of such a paper may be in about 150 words including 3-5 keywords.
All references mentioned in the list of References should be cited in the text, and vice versa. Please follow MLA format (either 7th or 8th edition) for documenting sources.
The submission must be only in English. Quotes of other language texts must be accompanied by an appropriate, authenticated English translation.
Please proofread the articles for grammatical and typing errors before submitting your manuscript.
BOOK REVIEWS
The length of the book review, excluding references, should be between 750 and 1000 words.
Complete details regarding the book under review (Name of Author, Year of Publication, Publisher, No. of Pages, Price, ISBN/ISSN, etc.) should be given.
The book being reviewed must have been published within 18 months from the date of submission. Exceptions may be made in respect of significant and impactful books, in consultation with the editor.
The review should not be a mere paraphrase of parts of its contents. It should indicate the reviewer’s critical and analytical engagement with the context and relevance of the book to the readers of the journal.
The language of the review should preferably be semi-formal, i.e. neither too conversational nor too academic.
The review must be accompanied by 3-4 keywords and the image of the cover page of the book under review as a .jpg file.
INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPTS.
Transcripts of interviews with well-known professionals may be submitted for publication and the length should be between 1000 and 2000 words.
The submission should contain details of when, where, and how the interview was taken.
The interview must be accompanied by a declaration by the interviewer that the interview was taken with the clear consent of the interviewee.
The interview submitted for publication should not be older than six months from the date of submission. The final decision will, however, be made by the editorial board.
The interview transcript must be accompanied by an abstract in about 100 words, 3-5 keywords, a brief introduction about the interviewee and his/her achievement (not exceeding 150 words), the contact details of the interviewer, and an uncopyrighted photograph of the interviewee as a .jpg file.
Every submission will be acknowledged within 48 hours. In the unlikely event of an acknowledgement not received within two days, authors are requested to send a reminder mail with the basic details about the paper.
Upon submission of an article, the review process will be initiated by the Editor. Please read more about the review process in the Peer Review section. The review process usually takes a maximum of 30 days. Hence, authors are requested to be patient.
