Message from the Secretary

It is a matter of deep commitment and responsibility to serve as the Secretary of the Home for the Aged and Infirm (Vridh Ashram), Ambphalla, Jammu—an institution that has been dedicated to the care and dignity of elderly individuals since 1964. Our endeavour has always been to create a secure and compassionate environment where every resident feels valued, respected, and at home.

We strive to provide comprehensive support to our residents, ensuring not only their basic needs such as food, shelter, and medical care, but also their emotional well-being and sense of belonging. With the continued support of generous donors, volunteers, and well-wishers, the Home has been able to sustain and expand its services, including outreach initiatives for elderly persons in the community.

The involvement of students, interns, and visitors adds vibrancy to the lives of our residents and reinforces the spirit of social responsibility among the younger generation. We remain committed to strengthening our efforts and upholding the values of compassion, service, and dignity in everything we do.
