VRCL's focus is on giving the players and community a voice. VRCL has a set of rules and regulations that are intended to let the community give their opinion, and it have an effect on the rules. The community votes on issues that are commonly recommended by VRCL players, leading to a better rule set which is preferred by the community. VRCL was made by competitive VR Esports players, for competitive Esports players.
VRCL Overview:
VRCL emphasizes community involvement in shaping rules and regulations through a voting process. Players can voice concerns and suggest changes, with community votes determining rule modifications.
Voting Process:
Players propose issues, and once finalized, the entire league votes via direct message to moderators, who verify and count the votes. Results are published, maintaining voter anonymity.
Voting Timeline:
Major issues are decided before the season starts, with ongoing proposals accepted for voting during the season, leading to changes in the second half.
League Votes:
Voting occurs at the season's start on key issues such as weapon use and map selections.
Season Structure:
The first season starts March 16th. It includes two halves, with rules updated at the midpoint. MMR will weigh more heavily in the second half.
Regular Season:
Teams start with a rank based on MMR, with 16 matches per season. The first three matches adjust MMR based on performance against other teams.
Challenges and Scheduling:
Teams face one assigned match weekly, with challenges allowed against teams one rank above or below. Matches must be scheduled by a deadline, with default times set.
Playoffs:
Top six teams compete in a structured playoff format, with ranks 1 and 2 receiving byes in the first round.
Match Structure:
Matches consist of rounds played until a team wins 4 rounds, with regular season matches as best of 3 and playoffs as best of 5.
Team Composition:
Each team has 5 players, with a maximum roster of 8. Substitutes can play limited matches.
Map Selection:
Approved maps are divided into Core and Custom categories, with bans allowed before matches.
Rank Distribution:
Teams are ranked as Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Master, and Grand Master.
Rank distribution follows this pattern:
Bronze (30%)
Silver (25%)
Gold (20%)
Diamond (15%)
Master (10% excluding Grand Master)
Grand Master reserved for the top 3 teams in the league.
