This weeks challenge is for you to create a space lander that will keep your astronaut safe when he (or she) lands on Mars. Take a look at the video and the guide to help you on your mission. El desafío de esta semana es crear un módulo de aterrizaje espacial que mantenga a su astronauta a salvo cuando él (o ella) aterrice en Marte. Mire el video y la guía para ayudarlo en su misión. También estoy agregando el enlace al sitio web en el que encontré esto para que pueda ver algunos recursos adicionales que puede usar con este proyecto.

Toothpick Tower Challenge

Materials: toothpicks, mini marshmallows or play-dough, ruler (optional)

Here's your challenge...Using only touthpicks and marshmallows/play-dough work with your family to create the tallest tower!

Once completed, take a picture of your tower with a ruler next to it, if possible. This will be so I can tell how tall it is.
Then send your pictures to my email at manghhl@nv.ccsd.net

Desafío de la torre del palillo de dientes

Materiales: palillos de dientes, mini malvaviscos o plastilina, regla (opcional)

Aquí está tu desafío ... ¡Usar solo palillos y malvaviscos / plastilina trabaja con tu familia para crear la torre más alta!

Una vez completado, tome una foto de su torre con una regla al lado, si es posible. Esto será así que puedo decir qué tan alto es. Luego envíe sus fotos a mi correo electrónico a manghhl@nv.ccsd.net

Week of 4/13-4/17

Lego Story

1. As a family, choose your favorite short story.

2. Think about how you can recreate the story with Lego's (if you do not have Lego's, use whatever resources you have to create a 3-dimensional story board)

3. Re-create the story together, with Lego's, using the main scenes and characters.

4. Once your story is complete, take pictures and/or video of your engineering creation and send them to me at manghhl@nv.ccsd.net (Your creations may be featured on the website)

5. Additional ideas....

   1. Record yourself reading the story while moving through your Lego scene.

   2. Change the ending of the original story.

   3. Add new characters to the scene.

1. Elije el cuento favorito con tu familia.

2. Piensa en cómo puedes recrear la historia con Lego's (si no tienes Lego's, usa los recursos que tengas para crear un cuento tridimensional)

3. Vuelvan a crear la historia juntos, con Legos, usando las escenas y personajes principales.

4. Una vez que su historia esté completa, toma fotografías y/o videos de tu creación de ingeniería y envíemelas a manghhl@nv.ccsd.net (Sus creaciones pueden aparecer en el sitio web)

5. Ideas adicionales ...

1. Grabarse leyendo la historia mientras se mueve a través de su escena de Lego.

2. Cambia el final de la historia original.
