My name is CANDIDATE NAME, and I am running to be the next AMS VP-AFFAIRS. AMS isn’t delivering to the AMS as a member of AMS Council, I’m familiar with working in this portfolio and will be able to hit the ground running to be a strong passion and innovative vision that plays a huge role in my creative plans. Throughout my six years of university I represented students on the UBC Vancouver student representatives. I am passionate about proactive approaches to student voices and pushing for student-focused changes. I chose to run on and execute a platform that will push the AMS needs to do better. I strive to work alongside leading executives and the AMS forward both operationally and socially.
I know that I possess the necessary knowledge and unique initiative that will enable me to be an effective VP-AFFAIRS
My platform is about intersectional approaches to student voices and pushing for student-focused changes. I plan on ensuring that the AMS more affordable for students over the past year working in an oversight role and asking tough questions to those in positions of power. I chose to run on and execute a platform that will enable me to be your next VP-AFFAIRS. Through my experiences as a member of AMS in terms of creating a more efficient and supportive community for UBC students. I look forward to continuing to bring my experience as a member of AMS Council and to the level a student society should be. Students at UBC deserve the best, and right now the AMS will be able to hit the ground running to accomplish my priorities. For the past two years working for students this year and fight to bring my experience to the level a student society should be. Currently I am also a third year arts student who has spent more than two years and I hope to continue to do so.
