"Ted and I actually decided to run for President and Vice President a few weeks ago during our Student Experience Committee meeting. We both had a lot of passionate ideas and thoughts regarding student experience at WVU and how we can make it better.
Our three major platforms include SGA Outreach, Student Experience through Diversity & Inclusivity, and continued sustainability and accessibility. Our main goal is to see all of WVU represented within SGA and to get a variety of students involved in order to promote and foster increased diversity and inclusivity. Students should feel at home throughout their time at WVU and we want to promote that sense of belonging the minute they get to campus. Instead of having students come to SGA, Ted and I, as well as the rest of our campaign wants to reverse the roles and go to student organizations ourselves. I want students and groups to feel comfortable expressing their questions, issues, and concerns to us and know that we will do everything in our power to advocate for them and make change.
I also want to continue WVU's efforts toward sustainability and accessibility by promoting a greener and more environmentally-conscious campus, as well as making sure things like socio-economic status are not a barrier to students' learning. I am looking forward to WVU reaching new heights. "
