From the start, Max has shown boldness, intelligence, and drive that set him apart. He is focused in training, with natural talent and determination in bitework, while maintaining a stable, courageous temperament. Co-owned by my mom and I, Max is both a promising working prospect and a loyal companion. He represents the Von WestLynn legacy carrying forward the intelligence, heart, and work ethic we value in our program.

Max will be available for stud in 2027, only after he has reached 2 years of age and successfully completed all required health testing, including hips, elbows, cardiac, thyroid, eyes, and dentition.
Max is available exclusively to approved, fully health-tested, in standard German Shepherd Dog females. No exceptions.
Max is a correct male with an outstanding temperament, solid structure, and strong pedigree. We look forward to seeing the positive qualities he will contribute to the breed through carefully planned, responsible Breedings.
Max is a long-coat carrier.
If bred to another long-coat carrier, long-coat puppies will be produced.
If long-coats are not desired in your program, Max is not the appropriate stud for you.
Max is DM clear. We do not support breeding DM carriers.
Female Temperament Requirements
Females must exhibit a stable, sound temperament and must not display aggression, severe anxiety, or nerve instability toward myself or any party involved in the breeding process.
Any female displaying concerning behavioral traits will be refused.
Note: Protective, defensive, or heightened behavior directed toward the stud male may be tolerated and managed appropriately. Hormonal fluctuations during the breeding process can temporarily alter a female’s typical behavior and will be understood. Such behavior will be evaluated in context and does not automatically disqualify a female, provided it is situational, manageable, and does not pose a safety risk to the stud, handlers, or veterinary staff, should the breeding take place at our veterinary office.
All females must meet all of the following criteria prior to breeding:
Full AKC registration (copy required)
AKC DNA on file, or pending analysis when the breeding takes place
Official pedigree provided for review
Negative brucellosis test within 2 weeks of breeding
Official OFA hip rating of Good or Excellent
Preliminary evaluations will not be accepted
While “Fair” is technically passing, it is only one grade above dysplastic and is not acceptable in our program
Official OFA elbow rating: of Normal
Embark panel or equivalent Clear: Copy must be provided
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM): Clear
Normal thyroid evaluation
Normal cardiac evaluation
Normal eye certification/verification
Full dentition
Must be at least 2 years old at the time of breeding and not over 6 years old at the time of whelping
Must arrive flea, tick, and parasite free
Titles are not required; however, females must have a proven role, such as working, sport, service, or another meaningful contribution to the breed.
Females that are out of standard in structure, color, or temperament will not be bred to Max.
This includes, but is not limited to, females exhibiting or producing the following:
White
Blue
Liver
Isabella
Panda
Spotted
Merle
Any washed-out or diluted color
Any color with blue or liver pigment
Live cover
Side-by-side AI
Chilled semen
Progesterone testing is not required; however, if a breeding is missed without progesterone testing, a free rebreed will not be offered.
All veterinary costs, travel, shipping, and boarding expenses are the responsibility of the female’s owner.
We reserve the right to decline stud service at our discretion if a pairing is not in the best interest of Max, the female, or the German Shepherd Dog breed.
