Von Ormy Cares Code of Conduct

As members of Von Ormy Cares, we commit to honoring God in all that we do, following Jesus’s example of love, truth, and service. Our actions are guided by the Gospel and the Great Commission, and we adhere to these principles:

1.      Serve as Jesus Served

We are called to serve others with the love and compassion of Jesus Christ, treating each person as valuable in God’s sight. We seek to glorify God by meeting both physical and spiritual needs in the communities we serve.

2.      Uphold Integrity and Honesty

We act with integrity and honesty in all our dealings. Our work is a reflection of our faith, and we take seriously our responsibility to conduct ourselves with righteousness and truth.

3.      Honor the Dignity of All People

Every person is made in the image of God. We treat everyone with respect, showing kindness, patience, and humility in our words and actions, as Christ commanded us.

4.      Faithful to the Great Commission

We are committed to sharing the Gospel and making disciples, as Jesus instructed in the Great Commission. Whether through words or actions, our goal is to bring others to know the saving grace of Christ.

5.      Work Together in Christian Unity

We value unity in the Body of Christ. We support and encourage one another, address conflicts directly and biblically, and work together in a spirit of cooperation to advance God’s kingdom.

6.      Strive for Excellence

We aim to serve with excellence, knowing that our work is ultimately for the Lord. We are diligent in all that we do, making wise use of our resources and doing our best to fulfill our mission.

7.      Depend on God in Prayer

We rely on God’s wisdom and guidance in every decision, and we seek His will through prayer. We are committed to a prayerful life, asking for God’s strength, direction, and blessing on our work.

8.      Follow Biblical Principles

We are called to live by the teachings of Scripture. Our actions, both personal and professional, should reflect our commitment to Christ’s standards of holiness, integrity, and love.

Commitment to the Code

All directors, board members, members, staff, and volunteers are expected to follow this Code of Conduct as a reflection of our commitment to Christ and His teachings. In living out these values, we seek to be a faithful witness to the Gospel and to fulfill our calling in the Great Commission.
