Mission Statement

The mission of Von Ormy Cares is to strengthen our community by spreading hope through the Gospel of Jesus Christ and providing essential services that uplift individuals and families. We are committed to building a community center in Von Ormy that houses the programs necessary to support the diverse needs of our area. At the heart of our mission, we offer affordable, quality childcare rooted in Christian values to support working parents and nurture the next generation in a Christ-centered environment. Our efforts also combat food insecurity with accessible food programs, support neighbors in need through dedicated community service, and enhance safety and well-being by assisting with critical home repairs for the elderly, veterans, widows, and those unable to afford such repairs. Additionally, we promote community literacy by supporting the Von Ormy Library. Through these initiatives, we aim to build a stronger, healthier, and more resilient community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive in both faith and well-being. 

Vision Statement

Our vision is a thriving, resilient community uplifted by the Gospel of Jesus Christ, where the quality of life is enhanced by affordable childcare, food security, community support, critical home repairs, and accessible literacy for all. Central to this vision is the creation of a community center that will serve as a hub for these essential programs, fostering connections, providing resources, and strengthening the bonds of our community. Through this center, we aim to cultivate a place where individuals and families can find hope, healing, and opportunity, allowing everyone to grow and thrive in a Christ-centered environment. Additionally, we will partner with the Odilon De Leon American Legion Post 466 to house the American Legion in our community center facility
