Privacy Policy for Battery Doctor
Last updated: 23 July 2026
1. Overview
Battery Doctor ("the app", "we", "us", "our") is a battery monitoring app developed by MD Developer Studio, based in Surat, Gujarat, India. This policy explains what information the app processes and how it is handled.
Battery Doctor is designed so that your battery data stays on your device. The app is offered free of charge and is supported by advertising provided through Google AdMob. To show ads, the app connects to the internet, and Google's advertising services process a limited amount of data as described in Section 5. Apart from serving ads, Battery Doctor does not upload, sell, or share your personal information.
2. Who we are and how to contact us
Developer: MD Developer Studio
Location: Surat, Gujarat, India
Email: ai.mdonda93@gmail.com
3. Information processed on your device
The following is stored only on your device, in the app's private storage, and is not transmitted to us:
- Battery measurements: battery level, charge counter, electric current, voltage, temperature, charging/discharging status, and whether the screen was on or off.
- Charge and discharge session history, and a device profile (such as your battery's design capacity).
- App foreground usage (optional): if you grant "Usage access", the app reads how long other apps were in the foreground to attribute screen-on battery drain to those apps. This is processed on your device only.
- Your settings: theme, language, units, alert thresholds, and data-retention period.
We (MD Developer Studio) do not receive, collect, or have access to any of the above.
4. Information we do NOT collect
We do not collect your name, email, phone number, precise or approximate location, contacts, photos, or files. Battery Doctor never requests location permission. We do not create an account for you and do not build a user profile ourselves.
5. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of Battery Doctor displays banner ads served by Google AdMob (a Google service). To do this, the app requires internet access, and Google and its advertising partners may collect and process certain information, which may include:
- Your device's advertising identifier (Advertising ID);
- Device information such as device model, operating system version, and language;
- IP address (used to infer coarse, approximate region and for fraud prevention);
- Ad interaction data, such as ad views and clicks.
By default, Battery Doctor requests non-personalized ads. In regions that require it (such as the EEA, the UK, and India), you may be shown a consent choice; personalized ads are used only where you have given consent. Google's use of data is governed by Google's own policies:
- Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- How Google uses information from apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
You can limit ad tracking or reset your Advertising ID at any time in your device settings (typically Settings > Google > Ads).
6. Permissions
Battery Doctor requests only the permissions it needs:
- Internet / network: to load ads.
- Foreground service and notifications: to run battery monitoring that you start and to show live readings and alerts.
- Run at startup: so monitoring can resume after a reboot if you had enabled it.
- Prevent sleeping (wake lock): to keep sampling accurate while monitoring.
- Usage access (optional): only if you choose to enable per-app battery attribution.
- Battery statistics (optional): an advanced tier you may enable yourself using ADB.
Battery Doctor never requests location, contacts, or file access.
7. Data storage and retention
Your battery and usage data is stored locally on your device. You can choose how long detailed samples are kept in Settings. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all app data from your device. Data processed by Google for advertising is handled by Google under its own policies.
8. Data sharing and exports
We do not sell or share your personal data. The only third-party data processing is by Google for serving ads, as described above. Battery Doctor includes an optional Export feature that lets you save your own session data as a CSV or JSON file to a location you choose; those files are then under your control.
9. Removing ads
A paid, ad-free version or in-app purchase to remove ads may be offered. When ads are removed, the advertising data processing described in Section 5 no longer applies.
10. Children's privacy
Battery Doctor is a general-purpose utility
