Volcano Mars 2022 is now live and available as a Google Earth Pro network link on my Downloads & Resources page.
At present, my Volcano Mars KMZ is still a work-in-progress. There may be errors, and I know there are more named volcanic features to add. My primary data sources are Wikipedia, The Gazetteer of Planetary Nomenclature, and information already provided on Google Earth's Mars.tool. I plan to keep a regular update schedule to curate placemarkers by region to be sure their information remains correct as more accurate data becomes available.
Once you have opened the Volcano Mars files in Google Earth and switched over to the Mars view in the top toolbar, be sure to activate the 3D features by going to the sidebar on the left, looking in the Primary Database window down at the bottom and ticking the Terrain box. My Mars Trek pins are much like my Volcano Earth pins in that they include a brief summary in the pop-up window, but I have also added highlights from Wikipedia about each feature.
Unfortunately, there is no Google MyMaps feature that will allow me to create an online experience quite like what I have done with Volcano Earth, but for those of you using mobile devices, Google Mars online is a zoomable static 2D Martian map with several choices for surface views as well as menus to help you search for most Martian features on your own.
For a comprehensive introduction to Martian volcanism, this Wikipedia article is excellent.
For a quick summary of Martian volcanic feature types, this PDF publication is helpful.
