The songs of World War 1 will be performed by the stunning Darwin Chorale, known for their diversity in style and respectful rendering of classic and contemporary pieces. Each song augments the story line and brings the audience on a soaring musical and emotional journey as we navigate the years leading up to the signing of the Armistice in 1918.
The 36-strong choir will perform the wartime repertoire in up to six voices at times, conducted expertly by Nora Lewis AM and Vivienne Tooms.
In Voices of Remembrance they will also play a pivotal role in recreating the events and locations referred to in the story: sometimes townsfolk, sometimes war heroes and even a Maori village.
Darwin Chorale have been performing for 33 years and have quite the back catalogue when it comes to performances. From Carmina Burana to ABBA, Rock 'n' Roll to Handel - they do it all.
