The Songs

The soundtrack to World War 1 is the thread that keeps Voices of Remembrance on a journey to peace and will take you on a nostalgic ride back to a very different era.

Classic war time songs such as "It's A Long Way To Tipperary", "Pack Up Your Troubles and Your Old Kit Bag" and "Alexander's Ragtime Band" will beckon our troops to head to war, while "No Man's Land/Green Fields of France" will remind us of the realities of war.

Post-war songs will celebrate return to peaceful times such as "Side By Side", "Paper Moon" and "Anything Goes".

The classic New Zealand war time song "Now Is The Hour" is a feature song in this show with it's ironic trans-Tasman history.

The Darwin Town Band (known today as the Darwin City Brass Band) will perform two tracks: "1914" and "God Save The King"
