General Session #2 (Mandalay Bay Events Center): Technology Innovation is What Keeps Companies Competitive (on-demand replay can be found here)
Transformation of the Digital Workspace: We are in the age of the digital workspace. Your users are clamoring for access to their data and apps from any device, including from personal devices. Your business expects IT to maintain security and eliminate the leakage of any sensitive information. How do you maintain this balance between end-user productivity and security? We believe the industry needs to evolve to focus on controlling access based on a new access control layer. In this Spotlight Session, the VMware leadership team will discuss how VMware Workspace ONE is built on a powerful access control layer that is dynamic, based on context. This access control layer in Workspace ONE transforms how organizations implement access control without compromising the end-user experience.
Review: The on-demand video replay can be found here. The interactions between the various presenters was engaging and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to attend in person.
Become a Superhero Architect of Your vSphere SSO Domain: VMware vSphere 6.x introduced some significant changes to the VMware vCenter Server and VMware vCenter Single Sign-On architecture. In this session, we’ll be using a digital whiteboard to navigate these changes and discuss best practices for architecting and deploying vCenter Server and the Platform Services Controller. We'll also answer common questions about vCenter Server and Platform Services Controller availability, how to leverage Enhanced Linked Mode, and what design considerations need to be made when architecting your vSphere 6.x environments.
Review: This session was conducted by Emad Younis and Adam Eckerle. Their presentation was clear, informative and included a Q&A session with the audience. I would highly recommend attending this session, regardless of your technical level.
Migrate to the vCenter Server Appliance You Should: This session will cover the available options for migrating from a VMware vCenter Server for Windows to VMware vCenter Server Appliance. We'll go over best practices and provide tips and tricks to successfully guide you through the migration process.
Review: An on-demand video for this session (SER2958BU) can be found here (presented by Emad Younis and William Lam). If the opportunity ever presents itself, don't miss attending this session or any session offered by either of the two. Well worth your time and a ton of great knowledge to absorb.

Securing Access and Protecting Information in Office 365 with Workspace ONE: As organizations plan the move to Office 365, they are faced with the challenges of end users accessing Office applications and corporate data from potentially unmanaged and insecure devices. In this session, we will cover how new innovations in VMware Workspace ONE can help dramatically simplify the deployment of Office 365 and provide the security controls to protect sensitive information stored in corporate email, OneDrive, and SharePoint. We will cover new IT capabilities that will easily enable your mobile workforce and "bring-your-own" efforts, such as conditional access and data leakage protection, and end-user capabilities including one-touch single sign-on and self-service deployment of Office apps on mobile devices.
Review: Will be provided at a later time.
