Virtualization 101: New to virtualization? Are you just getting started setting up VMware vSphere, or trying to sell vSphere for the first time? This session is an introduction to the key technologies and market dynamics around virtualization. Each year, we see more and more new customers and partners who are trying to get a better handle on our core technology. This breakout session is a great place to start and can also serve as a quick refresher. It will also include a brief overview of containers at the 101 level.

Review: This session is a must and is extremely essential to anyone relatively new to virtualization. The presenter (Martin Yip) was clear, concise, knowledgeable and extremely helpful as it pertains to any questions that were asked during his session. No on-demand replay is available for this session.

The Business Value of VMware vSphere: This session will focus on the CapEx and OpEx savings provided by the industry's leading virtualization platform. In addition, it will show the business value VMware vSphere provides in VMware solutions such as VMware Cloud Foundation.

Review: The primary purpose of this session was to provide the benefits by using VMware products and its solutions but it also included the business value for each which included products like VMware vSphere and VMware Cloud Foundation. We currently use vSphere in our current IT infrastructure. No on-demand replay is available for this session.

Admin Tips and Tricks/Best Practices for Installing the Workspace ONE Platform: Are you looking at deploying VMware Workspace ONE or VMware AirWatch and looking for some technical guidance to help you with this initiative? Join our product experts as they share best practices learned from thousands of deployments on how to set up, configure, and deploy a digital workspace solution. By the end of this session you'll have the foundation to be able to successfully try Workspace ONE in your organization.

Review: The goal of this session was to educate the community on how Workspace ONE (a digital workspace platform) can be integrated securely while delivering and managing any app on any device via access control, app management and a multi-platform endpoint management (via cloud service or an on-premises deployment). No on-demand replay is available for this session.

New V Welcome Session: The focus of this session is to assist first-time attendees of the event in planning and navigating their way through VMworld. This informative session provides insight and best practices on how to get the most out of your VMworld experience. You may add this session to your personal agenda via the schedule builder functionality in Content Catalog like any other session.

Review: In my personal opinion, this session should be required by all first-time attendees. My only suggestion would be to make this session the first available for the first day of VMworld. No on-demand replay is available for this session.

During my spare time in between sessions throughout the day, I took advantage of any labs available in the VMware Hands on Labs area and checked out the various vendor booths available at the VMworld Solutions Exchange area.
