Whitley Run 2023

Whitley Road Safety Run - Sunday 6th August 2023 - Lower Whitley Village Hall 

It’s that time of year again, as the Whitley Run approaches and preparations are in hand for the 52nd running of the event.

The Cheshire Cats Section welcomes, and has always tried to cater for, all types of eligible VMCC machines in this event but with an emphasis on providing routes that are suited to older or smaller machines. The atmosphere and camaraderie on the day is well known, an ideal opportunity to get together with many like-minded enthusiasts to share experiences, knowledge and chat.

Taking place on Sunday 6th August 2023 from its usual home of Lower Whitley Village Hall near Warrington. Tea and biscuits will be available in the morning, the route will be approximately 50-60 miles through Mid-Cheshire with the first bike leaving at 11am, calling for lunch at the Horseshoe Inn, Astbury from 12 noon onwards and then a route back to the Village Hall for the results, awards and more cups of tea and biscuits. All motorcycles and three-wheelers over 25 years old are eligible to ride and the cost of entry is still £4. There will be awards in all age classes from Veteran through to Classic. A set of regulations for the event is attached. Riders can enter on the day before the start time. Ample secure parking for bikes, cars and trailers is available on site. These events wouldn’t run smoothly without the support of members acting as marshals at the start or on route and also assisting in the kitchen with refreshments. If you are not riding and are able to offer your time to help it would be very much appreciated.
