The unbelievably awesome adventure of an average LBS student is a 2D game, the idea of which first came up during a pair project at gymnasium, where we were supposed to come up with a game idea for mobile phones, write a game design document, make some concept art and, basically, "sell" the idea to other students and the teacher.
The main idea of the game was creating a 2D RPG platformer game with an ability system, where you acquire experience in each type of magic through helping the teachers. Each teacher has its own element and can even help you in battle, if you decide to choose their card for the fight. I got really inspired by the idea of combining different elements and trying to balance it out so there would not be any combination that would be too "OP".
The time has passed, it was time for our biggest project in our third year of gymnasium. And I decided to use this game idea, change it a little bit and finally turn it into a real game.
Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to fully finish the development, being a one-person "group", but I have acquired the experience that helped me a lot in my future projects.
Once again, looking back, I see that I definitely was overscoping. But if I ever were to try and start working on it again, it definitely would have been turned to life.
