"Have you ever heard of Gnesta?" is a visual novel that was my first bigger project I was working on. Since it was my first one, it wasn't too advanced and I was mostly just playing around with all of the different things that I could have added to the game. For example, QTE-minigames, some visual effects, such as drunk-like vision (background was doubled and its semi-transparent clone was slowly moving around) and branching story that has 23 different endings, which depend on the choices the player have made throughout the game. Even a small, at a first glance, choice, can turn a player's journey in a whole different direction.
Conclusion
Even though looking back at this project, I see many things I could've done differently and better, other features I could now add to the game that would make it stand out in a way. But I am glad I could actually bring it to a level where I felt satisfied with the game when finishing the development of it back then, and, of course, had a lot of fun working on it!
