The goal of the original project was to create a 3D printable design for cheaply converting a long board into a powerful, versatile electric vehicle with college campus use in mind. High end commercial electric boards cost anywhere from $1500 to $3000, my goal was cut that price down to ~$500
Electric Truck Mod Design
After successfully creating an electric long board prototype for a friend, it was time to refine the design with a personal rig for myself.
This board has:
Dual wheel drive
USB type C Power Delivery charging
A drop-down deck
9ah of battery @37 volts (10s li-ion)
4400 watts of power
A top speed of 34Mph
PETG 3D printed enclosures for the battery, ESC, and charging circuit
This board is more powerful than the most powerful Boosted Board for less than half the price. (No wonder they went out of business)
A friend contacted me and hired me to build him a board. The challenge of this design was finding a design with very low failure rate. I wanted this board to last for as long as possible.
The 3D printed enclosure I designed is definitely the highlight of this board, along with massive 12s4p 560 watt hour battery.
