Beast Robotics

Junior and senior year I joined my high school robotics club, Beast Robotics, team 2202.

Senior year I designed an end effector for our robot that was a suction cup. The cup has a replaceable  silicone rubber ring that is molded from a 3D printed form.  This ring is glued to a PETG printed backing that is screwed into the cup and seals with an O-Ring. Final Design

The end effector is mounted somewhat compliant to allow easy mating with a flat surface. Our team made it to worlds this year and I was given an engineering ingenuity award. Our team was the only team out of 300+ globally to use only one system for the capture of both game objects.
