How to Set Up a VIZIO Smart TV
Setting up a VIZIO Smart TV is simple and only takes a few minutes. Follow the steps below to get your TV ready for streaming and smart features.
Step 1: Unbox and Connect the TV

Remove the TV and accessories from the box.
Attach the stand or mount the TV on the wall.
Plug the power cord into a wall outlet or surge protector.
Insert batteries into the remote.

Press the Power button on the remote or the TV.
Select your language and country/region when prompted.
Step 3: Connect to the Internet

Choose Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection.
Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.

Step 4: Complete Activation via Vizio.com/Setup

A setup/activation code will appear on your TV screen.
On a phone, tablet, or computer, open a browser and go to vizio.com/setup.
Enter the code and sign in or create a VIZIO account.
Once verified, your TV will automatically complete activation.

SmartCast will launch automatically after activation.
Sign in to your favorite streaming apps such as Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, and Disney+.
You can also cast content directly from your phone or tablet.

Go to Menu → Settings → System → Check for Updates.
Install any available updates for the best performance and features.
