Replicate 1: The target option is inferior to the alternative option in the by-attribute configuration (the target option is superior on the three least important attributes).

Replicate 2: The target option is slightly inferior to the alternative option in the by-attribute configuration (the target option is superior on the second-, fourth-, and sixth-most important attributes).

Replicate 3: The target option is slightly superior to the alternative option in the by-attribute configuration (the target option is superior on the first-, third-, and fifth-most important attributes).

Replicate 4: The target option is superior to the alternative option in the by-attribute configuration (the target option is superior on the three most important attributes).

Notes: Within each visual rating format condition illustrated above, the alternative option is on the left, and the target option is on the right. The horizontal positions of the two options within each condition were counter-balanced in the study.
