Bangalore METRO named ‘Namma Metro’ is a public transportation system that is being governed by BMRCL ‘Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd’. BMRCL has appointed the consortium of RITES (India), OCCL (Japan), PBI (USA) and SYSTRA (France) for planning and execution of the project. Bangalore METRO, Phase I mainly comprises of an elevated viaduct of 33.50Km and 8.8Km underground (Bangalore Metro Phase 1 map - attachment). In the construction of viaduct, prefabricated segments are used throughout, with in-situ box girders being constructed in special cases. Pile construction has been adopted in the construction of piers due to the heavy load transferred to the ground. IRS, IRC and IS codes have been referred in the design of both superstructure and substructure. Dead Loads, Live Loads, Superimposed Loads, Seismic Loads, Wind Loads and Breaking & Traction Loads have been considered. This project deals in the design of Pile and Pile cap of Pier-64, Reach-4. Pile cap is analysed under both Service Limit State ‘SLS’ and Ultimate Limit State ‘ULS’. Piles are analysed under both Service Limit State ‘SLS’ and Ultimate Limit State ‘ULS’ with Bearing Capacity Check.
Advance techniques and technologies used in design and analysis of commercial structures. Initially I was trained for designing structures using STTAD Pro software followed by manual design. Later, I designed many components (few listed below) of metro stations and structures which was verified analytically.
